Picture of a scorpion (symbolizing autumn) that attacks the testicles of a bull, which was taken by Mike Young, Wikipedia entry: Mithraic Mysteries. This is a detail from a tauroctony, a sculpture of Mithras killing a sacred bull (symbolizing spring). A tauroctony was an essential part of every Mithraic Temple. Mithraism was one of the Roman religions in the 1st to the 4th centuries C.E. This sculpture is displayed at the British Museum of London. To me it looks so poetic!
